Frequently Asked Questions
01
What is Virgin Hair?
Virgin Hair is hair that has not been dyed, bleached, permed, straightened or chemically treated in any way. Virgin Hair comes from a donor, and all the cuticles are intact, running in the same direction. All of our hair is in its natural state and guaranteed to be in its correct cuticle alignment.
02
How many ounces are in each bundle?
Each bundle contains 3.5oz/100 grams of hair.
03
How many bundles do I need for a full head?
14"-18": 2-3 bundles
20"-28": 3-4+ bundles
04
What is the shortest length you carry?
12” is the shortest length that we carry at this time.
05
What color does the hair come in?
The hair only comes in a natural color (1b/2) because it is Virgin hair and has never been altered
06
Can I straighten, curl, wash, color &/or bleach my hair?
Yes. Our hair is 100% human hair. All textures will return to its original state after a gentle wash.
We recommend consulting a licensed professional stylist if you wish to color your hair. Over processing or improper dying will ruin the hair or alter the texture which can cause tangling and shedding. Any chemical processing will affect the nature of the hair. Anointed Hair Passion is not responsible for any problems which occur during coloring.

I noticed that there are a few grey/white srands in my bundle, what is this?
These are gray hairs. The hair is in it's natural state and has not been chemically altered. Grays are normal and can easily be removed by pulling them out individually. There are usually no more than 5 strands of gray in some bundles.
Shedding?
Minimally. The most effective way to avoid shedding is by sealing the wefts. You or your professional stylist should perform this task before installing the bundles.
09
How do I seal the weft?
Cutting the weft promotes shedding, so we advise using a weft sealer to prevent this. Without getting it on the hair, apply the sealant on one side of the weft, allow it to dry and repeat this process on the other side. The weft can be sealed with Fray Block or Aleene’s Fabric Fusion. These can be purchased at any crafts store or Wal-Mart. We advise letting a professional stylist perform this task.

Longevity?
On average, virgin hair will last 6 month to 1 year (possibly longer) if the hair is properly cared for. To ensure that you are protecting your investment, Anointed Hair Passion has provided a Hair Care section on our site to make sure that you get the most out of your lovely virgin hair. The hair can also be taken down and reused for future installs.
Hair comes in many different grades from the lowest which is no grade (aka top quality) or A (1A) - AAAAA(5A)
The higher the grade the better the hair was cared for by the donor.
No grade, top quality or 1A is the bottom of the barrel. It is hair that is usually very dry and brittle with split ends and uneven lengths.
The most common grade is AAA or 3A. This is the most reasonably priced higher grade hair available. 3A hair tends to be much drier and will not last as long compared to 4A-5A. It will require more deep conditioning to keep it in good shape. AAAA (4A)-AAAAA (5A) is the best. It is also referred to as Royalty Grade.
Most companies do not offer 4A or 5A because the of the cost. These are my preferred grade because of the longevity and wear time.
3A hair is good hair but 4A-5A is great hair. 4A -5A hair has nice soft thicker ends. It has more moisture. 4A -5A hair has been taken better care of by the donor before it was harvested. 4A-5A is the best by far. It will last many years with proper care. Even abused it will last more than 6 months. There is a considerable difference between 3A and 4A-5A hair.
11
Should I wash my hair wefts before installation?
We do recommend washing the straight and natural wave textures prior to install. You may simply co-wash (conditioning only) the hair and hang it up to air dry while still in the ponytail bundle.
